James Graham, Marquess of Montrose, soldier, poet and one of the most romantic figures in British history, led a campaign of dashing brilliance as Royalist captain general in Scotland against the Covenanters and his bitter personal enemy, the Marquess of Argyll, in the summer of 1645. On his return his army defeated he was executed in 1650.

A Good French Limoges enameled Tazza centered by a portrait of Diane de Poitiers (1500-1566) after Francois Clouet. Diane de Poitiers was a French noblewoman and prominent courtier. She wielded much power and influence as King Henry II's royal mistress and adviser until his death. Her position increased her wealth and family's status. She was a major patron of French Renaissance architecture. Tazza circa 1870.
